Our laboratory is equipped with a variety of stereo microscopes for the forensic analysis of fibers and foreign materials that require identification. Our primary microscope is a Keyence VHX-6000 3D microscopy system that can acquire digital images from 20 – 2000X magnification. It also has the capability of making precise measurements in three dimensions as well as surface profilometry (roughness measurements, etc.).
